I noticed i get a lot of oil puddling up

I get lots of oil puddling up on my skid plate I degreased it one day put it back on and it was dry for a few weeks. I think it may just be the oil pan. Are these trucks know to leak from the pan? Or do they leak from the front main?

Oil or coolant?The trucks seldom leak from the oil pan unless it has been taken off and put back on incorrectly and the pan is more behind the skid plate than on top of it. Check lower rad hose for a leak, also check aound the crank pulley for a leak could be ur front crank bearing and seal leaking.Oil pump could also be leaking.BJ

THAT WOULD BE MY GUESS IF IN FACT IT IS OIL ON THE SKID PLATE.

DOES YOUR TRUCK HAVE POWER STEERING & A/C? CHECK THOSE LINES ASWELL, THEY HAVE FLUID TOO, AND ARE CLOSE TO THE SKID PLATE AS WELL.

check the PS lines first. there is a cooler that runs through right above the skid plate, it may be leaking.

but check the front of the oilpan. sometimes the screws actually will "backout" and obviously oil will leak
