Haha! Well, I certainly do have some bones to pick with my brother. When we dropped the engine in and put it back together, it seems the alternator wire has been overlooked. It was NOT tightened to the alt. So, I'm sure this was the main culprit of the engine not starting...
I went to Car Toys, bought two new silver battery terminals, as well as 4 gauge wire for ground. And I also got a new starter, which has a LIFETIME warr. So I feel good about that $80 investment. Although, I had the guy test both my alt, and starter. Both passed there test. So, I kept the alt. and replace starter since it still stays engaged after engine cranks.
Soon, I will get the BIG 3 upgrade, and a damn battery. They want $190 for an optima yellowtop! This one place called Toby's has a battery, purple haze, which is actually rated slightly better than optima and its $160! I suppose $30 discount is better than nothin'!
I thought 250 amps was pretty good for an audio system? My sound system alone has a 135 amp circuit breaker for it. So if a 90 amp alt. gives it elcetricity, wont it dim hella?
Later on, I plan on getting a new coil... MSD! There EXSPENSIVE!
Last night, I got it all in and ready to crank. The night before, I put the battery on the charger. I crank the engine, and BAM! Right on the first fire! I did notice a big diff. in engine performance just because of the ground wire! Ohh, it sounds so good now.
Hey, but thanks for all the help guys, I appreciate it !
