The yellow "antilock" light keeps comming on when it rains out. Its in the instrument cluster and its a pic of a swerving car. WTF is this light for? I just did the brakes and didn't see anything that would cause this, ie. sensors, wires, etc. Its a 93 b2200. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Light means ur antilocks are on or activated. The antilocks on a B2200 work only on the rear brakes.Did u replace them as well? There is a proportioning valve on the right rear axle and one brake line that feeds both sides of the brakes. There is also a sensor back there that picks up on traction loss to activate the antilocks.Be sure that the sensor wires were not pulled loose when changing rear brakes.(if u did).Be sure u r fluid reservoir is topped up.Be sure u r rear brakes are adjusted correctly. If one is tighter than the other may be sending a false signal that is activating ur antilocks. There is a port in rear brake backing plate for manual adjustment of the brakes.U can also tighten rears up by backing up and putting ur brakes on hard for a couple of times.Hope this helps.

I just did the front brakes. Since it only happens when it rains I'll check the wiring and the sensor first. If not Ill run down the list. Thanks, I had no idea what the shit was going on.

I HAVE HEARD THAT ON VEHICLES WITH ANTILOCK BRAKES THAT IF YOU LET THE PISTON COME OUT ON THE CALIPER THEN PUSH IT BACK IN TO GET THE PADS IN YOU CAN SCREW UP THE SENSOR IT PUTS TOO MUCH BACK PRESSURE ON THE LINE & EITHER CAUSES THE SENSOR TO STICK OR MALFUNCTION AND OR MESSES UP THE PROPORTIONING VALVE, THUS THE LIGHT ON THE DASH STAYS ON.
BUT WITH IT COMING ON WHEN ITS RAINING, I'D SAY IT'S A CONNECTION PROBLEM IN THE WIRING......

is your truck lowered in the rear? when I lowered the back of mine the gas tank crossmember hit the sensor on the rearend and broke it off and now the light stays on. Maybe yours is loose or something.

the antilock in the rear is useless, ive had nothing but problems with it when it worked it would come on when i was hard on the brakes and made my braking distance even longer,

simple fix to the problem, unplug the computer under the seat, shuts down the abs and brakes work normal
