Yep. sunday i was headed up to backwoods bash. And i was probly 30-40 minutes from my house. and i started hearin a noise.. low pitched whine, started gettin louder and louder, Adn bam.. truck wouldnt accelerate anymore.. TRied puttin it in gear, and moving, and it just made some horrible noise.. SO i thought i blew my clutch up. beacuse my buddys 240sx sounded the same when he blew up his clutch. And i knew my clutch was on the way out.
so i dropped the tranny. and the clutch was still pretty much intact. it looked worn, and hte pilot bearing was disentegrated basically. But the disc and pressure plate looked alright.. Definitely looked worn, but not as bad as i had expected. so i bought a new one this morning.. and just playin around with things, i slipped the disc on the input shaft of the tranny, put the shifter in 1st gear, and turned the input shaft. i put my hads on the tailshaft, and it would catch, and spin then stop.. then catch again and spin then stop for a while, then catch.. etc... Did this in every gear.. i noticed the input shaft felt a little loose too.. I think somethin is seriously shot in my trans. so now im pissed.
