u've seen mine there are many post on this site about the v8 conversion, and many helpful posts, as for the wiring its not bad if u run one of fords ignition boxes with an electronic distributor, u have to cut 3/4 of ur mazda harness away in the engine bay, i just ran the biggest gauge key on hot wire i could to the igniton box then from there everything will plug in coil, distributor, i ran one of the other bigger key on hot wires to a distribution block on the rad support so i could run a buch of other shit that i wanted to, mine has an aluminuim 240sx rad the aluminuim will stay cooler then a stock rad would and i have 2 12" fans infront of it behind the grill. for the mounts it just depends what u use, car mount or truck mounts and a car or truck oil pan i have truck mounts on mine and the motor mounts are bolted in instead of weldin new ones in, i used the stock tranny crossmember and just set everything level then built off of that. mine is a 351w and a c6 tranny u'll have to figure out what kinda tranny u wanna run but the stock rear sucks man...

I was thinking a carbed 302 just because its prolly alot easier to wire and troubleshoot if i have problems unlike this 2.2 in the truck now its almost impossible to troubleshoot that thing. How much do you think all of this will run me $ wise including trans and motor and everything to make a carbed 302 work i just need a ballpark so i can see if i can even attempt this or if i should go buy another car. Would the carbed 302 swap be simple as throwing an engine in there and making everything fit? and for motor mounts would i have to somehow take off the stock ones to bolt the new ones on? I love the idea of having a 302 in the truck but i am on a very limited budget but if i can keep the cost down i might just try it.

i have a carbed 351w in mine, but its very easy to wire them if u run the ford electronic dizzy, you could do it without to much money i probably have 1,000 to 1500 without any preformance stuff. heres a pic of mine.

WOW man thats crazy did u custom make that hood cuz if u did it looks SICK. I would love to throw a 302 in there but i kinda wanna get it running so i have transportation for a lil while while i make some $ then look into the whole 302 scene because i dont have enought right now. But i love the way ur truck looks i wish in the future i can do somthing like that.

haha, i have a Edlebrock preformer 351w intake on mine, if u wanna try to keep the stock hood, tryin finding a low profile one!
