engine computer???????

i have a 89 b2200

and i have installed a weber.
and now im tryin to remove some of the wires that run down the pass side fender that all tha emissions stuff ran to.

i unplugged the mitzu brain box. located behind the glove box. and the truck still ran fine. so im wondering if i need this. or if i can just take it and all the wires out?

i have already started to strip all the tape off the wires just in cace i can take it out.

yes you can remove that computer now since you have a weber. the computer was just there to read sensors for the stock carb.

as far as wires, you can remove that whole harness with exception of couple of wires. the turn signal wire runs through there and there is a fuse box also on that side.

someone probably knows the exact wires that need to stay.

annother thing...
theres a ground that runs to tha motor(which i would shorten up and put on tha fire wall),and a white wire that runs a lil but under tha motor(im thinkin its like tha oil pressure)
and also theres a senser whith a green plug on the manifold. with two wires in it.
can those also be unplugged?

Sensor with green plug is o2 sensor wire.If the Webber does not have a port for o2 adj.u dont need it.

Bump.There is a large black cannister on the pass.side fenderwell.If u unplug it,u r going to have gas fumes in ur truck.Find an unused vacuum port on the Webber and plug it in there.BJ

before you remove everything make sure that your wipers still work. i was going to do the same and unhooked one of the wire bundles that control the wipers. so i had to hook it back up.

Wipers are electric so they shouldnt be affected by the vac lines. BJ

yes the wipers are in that wire loom. but if u strip all tha tape off like i did. u will see that there are 2 bundles of wires that run from tha cab. one is a big one and one is a small one. tha small on has tha wires for tha wipers in it. i left those wires alone. it also had some other wires in it. i left the whole bundle alone.
also they are blue wires. i believe there 4 or so. i just sis it tonight .but i cant remember how many there are.

there is no unused vaccumport on my webber to plug in tha canister.



and does anyone know what the single white wire is thats in tha bundle of wires? the one that runs to tha motor behind tha pulleys.
i didnt take a real close look at it....as to where it runs under there.

yeah bro, i was talking about the wires under the dash by the computer. i went nuts and just started unplugging all kinds of stuff i thought i didn't need anymore and then found out that my wipers didn't work. that is all i was getting at.

Cool.White wire runs to either the temp sensor or oil pressure sensor, I cant remember which.BJ
