Anyone have an idea on how to fix this? There are still some good threads in there, but the first few threads come out with the old o2 sensor. I have a new sensor to put in, but dont want to make it any worse. I figure some other people here may have come across the same situation. Let me know Im desperate to get this finished.

I would go get a bung then cut off the old one and weld on the new one....or in a pinch, get a nut that the O2 sensor threads into, preferably stainless, and use that in place of a bung,,,just weld it on.

Or you can get helicoil kits that you drill the hole out larger, retap it, put in the helicoil thread repair sleave, and then thread in the o2....

by the way I wanted to update this. I got it fixed. The bung for the O2 sensor is seperate from the manifold. It just screws out and you can screw a new one in then put the O2 sensor in the new one.

Easy fix. Cost me $22 for the parts from the dealership.
