I went in to get mt clutch replaced (oem gone at 190K) and found out I have 2 bad ujoints and the hanger bearing's rubber part is almost gone, that just made a $450 job int an $800 job. on top of it I'm getting the head for my 323 back from rebuild, pp and ss valves on the same day! this is going to be like $1300 ish in one day (alot for a university student who changes oil at walmnart part time). just had to vent

as much as it cost you for the u-joints & carrier bearing, i'd have gotten a custom 1-piece driveshaft......sorry to here about it tho....

on top of it all now none of the rear u joints from napa or any other local parts stores fit and mazda's is double the price ($60) and "might be there by wendsday" my 323's head is also over a week late due to parts not arriving on time.

Like I was sayin to Josh in the clubs/shows thread - being part of this site has a lot of the same benefits of being in a club. Lots of good connections and lots of good help/comments.

As Drew Carry would say... a 1,000 points to BJ

its a bitch trying to work on mazda drive trains. a custom drive shaft would have been 250-300 dollars, probably cheaper then you buying hte carrier bearing and the u-joints. Look around for a used drive shaft with a carrier bearing
