So my clutch is fucked... its leaking fluid like mad. The leak is down near the tranny... looks like some valve or something I think.

Any idea what im gonna be into it to fix it and how much of a job it is??

I was just about stranded on my way home just now... pedal was at the floor and not comin back up.

ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

that is the slave cylinder, it moves the clutch fork that holds the throw out bearing......you can get a new one or a rebuild kit for it at autozone, orileys for under $50, need to check to see if the line is busted, these trucks are old & the line that comes off the fire wall could have cracked....., not hard to fix, two bolts, remove the line, & put it on the new one, add fluid to the reservoir & bleed it like your brakes.

hey cory, it takes about 15mins with 2 guys because you need to bleed your clutch afterwards.

what u do is:

losen the fitting coming from the master cylinder, then from there remove the 2 10mm bolts holding the slave cylinder in on the side of the tranny and remove the fitting that you losened that is coming from the master cyl. make sure the new cylinder is completely pressed in. top of the cylinder with some clutch fluid. install fitting. then bolt it back onto side of tranny. bleed. and you're ready to go.

fixed.

paid a neighbour to do it for me... haha. $45 labour... it wasn't worth my time or frustration.

cost me like $60 for the slave.
