Carburetor...HELP!!!

I just bought a 32/36 DFEV Weber carb for my 1984 B2000. I got the thing on but the factory rod linkage dosen't line up. Plus the linkage locks up and the pedal won't depress. I need to get this fixed ASAP! I only found one picture online of a guy who did it but I can't find his e-mail address. Can anyone help me?
