If I have room,I would like to do a single oval tip poking out from under the bed on each side infront of the wheel. Single exhaust all the way, then split it into a Y after the muffler and have it come out infront of the wheels.

i've been thinking of doing mine like Immortal1's, or coming out just under the bed right in front of the wheel well with some square pipe like on
the nascars.....wanted duals coming out the rear sorta like a mustang, but
don't have enough clearance to get past my fuel cell frame, plus where i'm relocating my shocks to will probably be in the way as well.

NYTRD if u werent so intent about draggin your wazoo around town u could run side pipes like the early Vets, but if u did that on ur ride now u would just rip em off.Lol.But now that I think about it if u could find some really small mufflers u could run the pipes up inside the rocker panels close to the frame rails and have them turn down in front of the rear wheels.I did that on an 81 Sundowner I had and it looked ok-loud though.BJ

You should just do some stacks right out of the bed. lol

don't know about draggin my wazoo, but i'll be low & not so slow haha! hopefully it will handle better than a vette when i'm done. yeah i like the classic look of the lakes pipes or the ones they used to run on vettes, but with it just being a 4-banger i'd run more pipe trying to get pipes on both sides than it is worth. i've stripped off all the old exhaust hangers from the frame & have ground down where they were welded to it, to make it nice & smooth looking....more or less i've got to wait till i get the engine in so i know what kind of room i'm looking at.....best i can remember i got my header before i pulled the engine, it stopped off even with the fire wall, then you add the cat & the muffler. the exit side of the muffler would be even with the back side of the cab, so depending on all that & where i end up mounting the batteries will tell where i get to run the exhaust out at. but i will deffinately keep it up above the bottom of the frame rail, so if i do hit something, or manage to drag across something i won't damage my exhaust.

One other thought and I will shut up.I have seen a dawg with the exhaust coming thru the rear fender about two inches in front of the rear wheel well opening. The dude had madea stainless shield for the fender kinda like the Ford Lightening exhaust.Looked cool.BJ

plane jane's exhuast comes out of the side, has like 4 or 5 pipes comming thru the rear fender before the tire.

if I had room, I would like to run pipes that came on the old cobras, but I think they might be too big, so I will do mine like immortal1, though stacks would be awesome, but not for a walkthrough.

Wow, this topic has been busy. NYTRDR24 has a pretty good link to another idea I had, but I just did not happen to have an available hole while I was at the muffler shop.
