Wasn't my F up...

went down to the local auto parts store to get a head gasket in order to get my truck back on the road... i had about 60 bucks on me... the kid (about 18yrs old) asked if i needed the head gasket alone or the head set. i asked how much they were, he told me the head gasket was 45 and the head set 150. i was like, i will just get the gasket. he asked if i wanted ONLY the gasket. then some other guy asked the same thing. so i got asked about 4 times if i wanted the head set. i told them no, paid 42.47 for the head gasket and they said it would be shipped in next day.

got the gasket in, get it home without even lookin at it. noticed the box was a lil bit big. i'm like thats not normal, but ok...

opened it up to find a head set instead of just the gasket...

so overall i saved about 100 bucks just because of some kids f*ckup...

Geez Louise... talk about a f**k-up on their part.

They did check with you several times and you were consistent with only wanting the gasket...

On the other hand, they may discover their mistake and want the head set back or demand payment...

However, I would say they are SOL if you paid cash and picked up the item.

yeah i told them several times that i only wanted the gasket... i did pay cash too, if they want the gasket back, i'll tell them that its already installed on the truck...

Sweet deal! My luck would have been similar, except the KIT would have only fit a Toyota instead of the Mazda. Good luck with the rebuild.
