hey guys ive been looking at a fuel injected truck that doesent run and i figure it would be cheaper to replace the engine, and give the engine to someone who could rebuild it and i think it would be cheaper to replace it with a carbed engine instead of a fuel injected one soo im wondering what exactly would need to be done/changed to do a carb conversion on it.

Ok why does the truck not run. If the FI part is not messed up then just bolt it to the carbed head. just bolt the long Block into the truck and transferr all the FI stuff to it (the FI intake should bolt up to the head just the same as the carbed intake)

It could be something simple like a fuel pump, ignition coil- I'd really hate to ditch a complete FI setup AND good motor just because you can't get it started. By the way, a complete FI setup on a mazda is VERY rare- you should do your best to save it, the additional power and reliability of FI is nice to have too.

A fuel injected 2200 (rare) or a fuel injected 2600i (only way thet came 1989-1993).Fuelie 2600is are notorious for computer problems after 100k miles.BJ

pretty easy to find a fuel injected 2200 up here most 92s and pretty much all 93s are fuel injected and there popping up everywhere
