from what i undersatnd the bellhousing on the tranny would change but i'm wondering if the motor mounts would be close to lining up with the 3l je v6? this sounded like a good option for towing power and still being reliable and cheap (i can get an mpv for $200-$500 around me). has anyone tried this.

I like the looks of the older b's that's why i don't want to go to a newer b3000

Why not use the newer B3000 or 4000 motor in your truck???

i would if i could get it cheap and its an easy swap (no cutting/welding) that would pull my seadoo jet boat (2000-2500lb). I thought about just getting a 4wd mpv and sellin the truck but i like the bed better than a van. my other consideration was if a 2600i motor would be good for pulling (if the bellhousing can be swapped) as it would get better mileage than a v6 or the f2 with a screwed (16mpg avg) carb.
