I just got my whole exhaust redone 2 months ago.

I've got ..

Stock Header>>2.5" pipe>>magnaflow cat>>2.5">>cherrybomb..more pipe.

Driving down the highway a few days ago, shifted into 5th and all of a sudden it got real loud. lol. The cherry bomb fuckin corroded after 2 MONTHS! all the piping after the muffler fell right off.

Now, i was wondering, how the laws affect what i want to do. What are the cat/muffler laws? could i just run my stock header-cat, and play the magnaflow off as a muffler, and run a side exit? legal?..or no? gimme some ideas here people

The only time the Manitoba government will look at my exhaust is when I go to safety the truck. This is when a mechanic will go over the truck from stem to stern and tell me what needs fixing in order to pass the mandatory safety.

If there isn't a mandatory safety in Ontario and you don't plan on selling the truck anytime soon, then I say anything goes... as long as the cops don't take an interest in you because you are too loud. LOL

Hey, since you are in TB, is there still a Roach taxi service there? I once worked with a lady who was related to the owner.

Cheers !!

I would stay legal. In the greater Toronto area and now areas like London, Niagra and Guelph there a big thing with the Police, MTO and the Ministry of the Environment. All last summer they had checkpoints in known crusing locations for every possible infraction. All your exhaust and pollution control had to be in place. They have a database with every vehicle in it and tickets started at $360 per infraction. I know more than 10 people who had their plates pulled for multiple violations. They also checked full mechanical safety (if anyone rembers Darknights, just like that). Even if you had rub marks in the fenders, plates pulled. If you could lay frame, same story.

Be safe and save the $360, put a 40 series magnaflow muffler on it.

Precisely what I was saying about cops taking an interest in the vehicle.

During the summer, on Sunday nights, people cruise up and down Portage Avenue. The attendance was huge until cops started attending and inspecting vehicles they suspected were unsafe or to loud.

Result?

Attendance is now way down because all the illegally modified vehicles are no longer showing up.
