anyone have this carb? i just bought this truck and it needed carb work bad, so i decieded to go with a weber. the guy from weber told me the one i needed was the 34/34. i got it, installed it and the throttle cable wouldnt reach, i ended up robbing one off my 626 parts car and using it. anyways ive been lookin around on here and all the pics i found of webers the throttle cable goes on at the back so i figured they were just diff models. anyways ive had not much luck with this one so far. it was running extremly rich, and had fouled the plugs, anyways i messed with it some more yesterday and its doin a little better i still think its a little rich, but hasnt fouled the new plugs yet i am goin to pull one tom. and check it. and yes i bought the conversion kit. i was just wondering if anyone had this model carb and what they thought of it.

just wondering, but do you have a fuel regulator on it, and did you plump a return line, dont feel bad if you didnt, becuase I didnt know there was a spot for one either. I have a 34/34 on my 4x4 I actually had to shorten my cable cuase it was too long. My fuel pump went out as soon as I put it on, havnt had the money to get a new one, so I havnt been able to test it out. I hoping it give me the best of both the 32/36 and 38/38.

why did the guy tell you the one you needed was a 34/34, did he give you a reason. cuase if you are going for power, the 38/38 would have been better, but if you wanted good miliage not too worried about extra power, you should have one with the 32/36. the 34/34 is kind of in the middle, I am running 31" tires on my 4x4 and wanted better miliage with a little more power, thats why I went with the 34/34

no i dont have a fuel regulator on it. but see the instructions said it needs 3.5 psi fuel pressure. well i checked it, mine had 3 psi and that was rev. at about 2000 rpm. so if anything it wouldnt be rich because of the fuel pressure. i aint runnin a return line either cause the pump hast one on it and it only had 3psi fuel pressure so... the guy didnt give much reason on the 34/34 i called him and had seen the diff ones on the internet, and i figured that would be the one i wanna go with so i called asked to be sure. this is just a daily driver i just need decent gas mileage and would like to have more power but i have other toys for that. anyways i wonder if ur throttle cable worked because its longer than a b2200? i know mine was far from working and if anyone buys this carb for a b2200 be prepared for a diff throttle cable.

i have one on my truck. i used a throttle cable from a 89 toyota truck with the 22re. my carb has been great so far. the only complaint i have is the really high choke idle. is there a way to adjust this?

yea theres a way to adj it. it has a high idle screw on the carb. if u got ur instructions it says in there i cant rem. all the details but its near the choke and u have to get everything else set on the carb then the engine has to be cool and u have key off mash the pedal to the floor, let off, start it without touching the gas pedal it will idle at like 2500 then i cant rem the rest but i have the instructions in my truck. id go get em but its late and damn cold, but if u need help with it let me know and ill send them to ya.

h20melon, did u have to adjust ur idle mixture screw. if so how many turns out is urs. i set mine by the instructions and it was still to rich i had to keep messin with it. also do u know how much fuel press urs had?
