I know a guy that wants to do a swap

I just need to know if the Mazda b2200 engine is a direct swap into a Mazda 626?

it really depends on what year the 626 is, but the 87-93 bseries trucks have the same block as 88-92 626/626t, mx6/mx6t, but the head on the cars are 12 valve not 8 like the trucks, like wise, the engine mounts & ecu will be different too.
