What? Wait a second... Did you not get a guide sheet when you got the carb? Weird...
Well, if its anything like my 32/36, you should have a screw for the fast idle when you have the choke engaged.
Hold your butterflies open, and open the throttle. Let the throttle return and then let go of the butterflies. This is supposed to engage your fast idle cam. If you were to start your truck, now, you would be able to adjust the idle speed when you warm it up.
3400 rpm is crazy man! Mine at first was 3k. Don't let it get any worse or you will run a big risk of hurting your engine!
