Ok just have to vent about this, I just got my weber in today and nobody happen to tell me about the freaking throttle cable problems.. the bracket they gave me if I put it were it will fit the cable is too short,, I heard something about people swaping out but I dont really have time for that or the money. Is there any other way to make this damn thing work? I am pissed cause I am so damn close but cant finish it because of that and one of the bolts I dont know how the hell you are supposed to tighted it.. Ok I am better now any help is appreciated,

hate to hear that bro, i have heard that was a problem with the 34's, check @ a local j-yard & see if they have a 626 cable, it is a little longer & shouldn't run you much $$, look to see if you can re-route the cable to give you the extra length you need.......which bolt is giving you a problem?

Its the one that is on the backside close to the valve cover... It came with a bracket for the throttle cable but it goes on the wrong side. If I could get one that was just opposite it would be ok...

I've got a Holley 5210, but the same problem I used, temp, a VW Bug cable I just knew I needed one long enough, and had no idea what to get. Well with this thing I can make 2. But now I have goen to Auto Zone and bought the universal, steel braided, one they have in the Chevy dress up stuff. It's like $25 and you also sposed to buy the bracket made for it if you wanna use the braided hose, but you can just pull the cable itself out and use it in your stock cable jacket. Haven't worked mine out yet, but I need the extra pieces that come with it to help smooth out my linkage, so to me it's a deal

well I decided to change it up a little bit. I flipped the carb around and gonna run the cable a little different I think its gonna work out this way.. I will let you know whenever I get it finished up.. I have had alot going on today so I havent got to finish it up yet

Is there something diffrent between the B2200 and the B2000? I had an 87 B2000 and put a weber on it and didn't have a problem... I never heard of the cable being short, I have a 89 B2200 now and wanting to order a weber for it, but after hearing this i'm hesitant!!

well I turned it around so the throttle will be on the front instead of the back I am gonna have to work with the bracket to get it perfect but so far so good.. will let you know when I get it working again

Iv'e got the 32/36 carb and it installed just fine with the bracket they gave me! No adjusting of anything necessary! Except tuning the friggin' thing!

You should post some pics. because I want to know how yours is compared to mine.
