the main problem is that the clutch has no pressure behind it. i haven't taken time to look at it because i don't know what to look for. if u put fluid in it, pump it a few times, drive it, pumping at every gear or power shifting, bring it home then park it... its low on fluid.

i ready that draggin84 had the same problem or close to it...

anyone help me?

IMPORTANT BUMP!!

i hear ya important lol haha!

look on the clutch mastercylinder, right next to the brake booster on the fire wall, look for leaks there, & under the dash where the clutch comes thru the fire wall too, run the line from the master cylinder to the tranny, there is a slave cylinder on the side of the tranny which moves the clutch fork, once you've inspected these for leaks, & if none are apparent, you will probably need to either rebuild the slave cylinder (kit @ autozone @ $20 at most) or the clutchmastercylinder needs rebuilding or replacing (prob @ $60 or so)........i'd say though that if the fluid is low, you will find a leak, probably in the hose that comes off the firewall to the slavecylinder probably $20 or less...

hope that helps you out

^ pretty much summed it up.

It's usually the slave cylinder that will go out first so just expect that. Master cylinders last a long time.

thats exactly what mine was doing and it turned out to be the clutch master cylinder on the fire wall it cost me $50 at oreilly auto with a life time warr. but i also changed out the slave cylinder on the side of the trans it cost me $16 new and i replaced the hard line between them witch i didn't have to do but it was only $3 for a 2 foot peice with the end already flared with the fitings i just had to bend clutch works perfect now.

well i looked under my truck tonight... towards the slave cylinder... and then fluid dripped onto me... i was like, wtf! so i know that the slave cylinder is leaking. i put new fluid in, pumped a few times... fluid went down past the MIN mark...

so do i just need to replace the slave cylinder??

may as well change both when your at it, thats what i did for mine, 20 bucks for a new slave cylinder and a cheeseburger meal for a master cylinder. haha. half hour later it shifted like new.
