Carb Question?

I put my diffrent carb (factory) on today and started the truck and it starts but races real high! I still haven't connected the choke voltage wire to the alternator. Which leads me to my question.
Where do I hook up the wire to the alternator?I noticed on the back of the alternator there is a wire coming from the back top and there are some coming from the back bottom! I have the wire ready to go just need to know were to put it! AAny other pionters would be greatly appreciated!

the wire that plugs into the top is where that wire was connected to...
as foir the motor racing real high my gues would be a vacuum leak somewhere...

all lines are new and were numbered so I wouldn't missplace any! I was thinkin it was because the choke wasn't hooked up??? maybe needs adjusted?

I was thinking that! I'm going to hook the choke wire up and adjust it and hopefully I get it worked out untill I break down and buy a weber!
