Be sure the accel cable is not binding. On the pass. side of the stock Nikki carb at the rear is a hex head gold looking screw that adjusts the idle.Turn counterclockwise to slow idle down. Be sure choke is not hung in the closed or semi-closed position.Beyond that someone else may have an idea or two.BJ

Does the choke get a 12v lead or a 7v lead?

The wire from the electric choke if u r using the stock carb comes off the back of the alternator.BJ

I tried turning and tuning everything I can find! I guess I'm $hit out of luck Choke has power going to it, vacume hoses look good , I guess it is going to be Weber time. I hate the thought of spending 300 for something to just get rid of it!

1 more thing to check. There is an "idle up" solenoid for trucks with A/C.It kicks the rpm up about 200 when A/C comes on.Did new carb come from A/C equipped truck and could that be the issue? If memory serves it is on the pass side front of the carb.BJ
