speedo operates normally- it's cable driven from the b2200 trans. Coolant temperature gauge doesn't work all the way with the stock kia coolant sending unit- and the mazda coolant sending unit doesn't fit into the kia thermostat housing- so you'd have to either find/ make an adapter- or tig an aluminum peice onto it, or tap a new hole. My gauge reading is just below what it should read. The ohm resistance is not the same. I know where my engine is running though thanks to my MS coolant temp sensor.

Fuel level- depends on what you use for a fuel pump- I used the stock mazda b2600i fuel pump assembly- which contains the gauge level sensor- so mine works just fine.

Tachomoter- depending on what you use for ignition- ford edis has a tach output that you can hook right up to the stock mazda gauge housing- blue wire.

Cool. I want to do this swap but I want the truck to look stock how much was your ms and edis setup? I know what I can get an engine for with and without a kia harness and ecu.

I would like to trade a 13b for a fe3 if anyone's interested.

inferno-

I have a kia block and crank- no pistons or rods, and I have a omplete cylinder head. Only problem is- I'm in Missouri.

My MS2 ver 3.0 was around 500 bucks, prebuilt- with wiring harness and shipping.

EDIS- made a custom crankshaft pulley for 36-1 tooth ring and vr sensor mount- about 150 bucks in machine work and parts, and the edis equipment was purchased on ebay for about 50 bucks.

I'll sell my block and crank and head- but I'm not shipping it to canada, sorry.
