Small Block 350?

Has anyone swapped in a small block 350 into thier maz?

Or any information that would go along with the swap would be great!

What would I do tranny wise? Maybe out a late camaro?

I have not done one but there is one here in town with a 350 and a TH400 tranny.He used a fuel cell in the bed (it is an extended cab) and has a solid topper on it.Truck is scary fast but has problems with hooking up and eating rear ends.BJ

i have a 351W in mine not a 350 but still a v8, mine ate up the stock mazda real in a couple of months, so mine now have a 98 mustang 8.8 with 3.27's instead of 3.90's disc brakes & lsd, also u will deff. need a 4 link for it to hook up at all! as for the tranny are u looking to go 5spd or auto? Im a FORD=) guy so im not to sure how the chevy bell housing & distributor fit???

I wouldn't mind a 5spd but if it came down to it I wouldn't mind running an auto either!

I've got the 4-Link already, but I would proll beef up the bars a little....

Although I love 5 speeds,if u r going to put that much engine in a small pickup,unless u r going to race it,I would go with an automatic.U will still eat rear ends, but not as fast.Lol.BJ

I have a 350 TPI with a 700r4 done in mine and put a 1994 nissan pathfinder 4x4 rear end in mine. So now I even have disc brakes on the rear. The install isn't that bad and I have already sent a set of instructions to sudkrap from the kit I have. Ask him what he thinks of the instructions and if he thinks they are worth getting and if they are give me a pm and I'll send you a set maybe sudkrap will even send you one.

they say the best tranny to use for this swap is the 2004r 4speed auto out of a midsize GM car. least amount of tranny tunnel resizing. (they is the old ultimate customs)

Yeah the instructions would be quite helpful, (It turned out my 350 was shot, and i found a 5.0 motor running for 250 bucks, so now i have to go ford, which will be a little easier with the swap..) but ill scan the pics and send them to you if you want them... pm me
