true, but he didn't specify what year, one can assume (you know where that gets you) that it is an 87 by his name, but still didn't say if it is a reg cab, cab plus or what.
i don't know of the 86-93's having one piece driveshafts....
not to mention that
the tranny is held in by the tranny's cross member, out of the tail of the tranny the driveshaft goes @1'-2' there is a round collar (carrier bearing) even with the back of the cab, then the 2nd piece connects to the pinion on the diff carrier......
now if there isn't a carrier bearing, then it is a custom shaft, you will need to pull the front u-joint, which you will need a set of c-clip pliers and remove the c-clips from the joint, and the d/s ought to come out as you already have the back end undone.....no need to remove the yolk from the tranny if you disconnect the u-joint.
