Any SeaFoam users here? Did it work for you? I'm desperately trying to improve the gas mileage of my B2600i and I'm thinking or hoping a seafoam treatment might help. Is this stuff just another snake oil? I've been reading many links about it. Some said it could damage the O2 sensor.

I use it in all my vehicles. When I first started with it I put 1/2 can in tank,1/4 can in oil and ran truck 500 miles and changed oil and put the final1/4 can in.After that I put 1/4 can in each oil change. It is a cleaner remember so it does not help with lubing engine. It does keep oil passages, lifters and fuel system cleaner which I assume helps mileage.I have had no issues with my 3 trucks and family cars with it and no o2 sensor problems.BJ

I use it in every car I drag up. Its helped them all. I bought an un running (very barely) VW GTI, ran Seafoam through the tank and oil, bam. Its a daily driver.

i've used it a few times to great results. however, just keep in mind...when you free up oil passages and what not, all that stuff has to go somewhere. so be cautious with a high mileage motor.

used it on my old escort and it ran beautiful for about 2-3 days then ran like complete shit.

seafoam is a superb product and does exactly what it claims to do. however my experience with it was horrible. I ran through a high mileage engine and it cleaned a ton of carbon out of it. Only problem was that carbon was what was holding my rings together so it started burning oil. I do not run it through my gas tank though. I pull the brake booster line and poor it directly in the intake and keeping the engine barely running. After i get the recommended amount in i let it sit for about ten minutes. Once you crank it back up it will smoke like a freight train for a little while. ofcourse this depends on how bad a shape the engine is internally.

hope this helps a little bit.

Thats what I did not my 97 Grand Am worked like a charm ran great for along time. I done it when I first got the car and it had 89,000 miles its got close to 140,000 now and needs a good tune up and anther seafoam treatment. The truck and car about to get it in a few weeks.

also use sea foam, great product and I am very picky about what goes into my vehicle's. You can throw some in the tank along with putting it in the vac lines, crank case, or the booster to clean out everything. We live by it on the mitsu 3000gt forms.
