Fanninator! Man, Lol! Why don't you look up your old post about the alt. and just go with the company I told you about? It is too damn easy to install! Hey, I'm gonna do the BIG 3 for you today too!

I was thinking about posting the same thread today. Now that I have a weber on the way I dont need to worry about that wire that connects to the carb from the stock alternator.

HeX0rz... if that place wasn't soo expensive I would get one from them. I can't justify spending $400+ on an alternator when I could use that money to finish bagging my B2200. I can get a GM 1 wire alt from a junk yard for about $25 and spend $100 having it rebuilt and boosted up a bit. The local alt shop I talked to yesterday told me they could rebuild it from the stock 100 amps to about 140 to 160 amps for about $100 depending on the condition of the alt.

fantom answered the question you asked me for me. i aint got a spair 400 right now and the way things are goin it dont look like i will for a while so i also would like to take a cheaper route. 120 would be fine with me but the more the better. -bf

Lol 400 is what I paid! I've got 200 amps! But it is all brand new and all... If you wanted an alt. with say 125 amps, I'm sure it would be around 200...

Chrome 140 amp Gm 1 wire... Brand new. $145 shipped.

I have this guy on my favorite sellers list. He comes recommended on some other forums I chat on.

well $200 for 140amp wouldnt be bad as long as it was a direct bolt on. id pay that. vs. the 140 gm for 145. then id pretty much pay 65 for brackets and the headache. id rather pay the $200 personally
but...........fantom, could you do some talkin to him for us mazda guys and get some info on this? -bf

I don't think he would do anything about brackets for us. He just sells GM parts.

The brackets would be easy to make. If there would be enough people interested I will make a few sets once I get around to putting a 1 wire on mine. I imagine I could get the steel I need to make them for about $30 to $35. I will see what I can do and I will make a post to see how much interest there is in them.

I am going to the junk yard one day this week if I can get out of work on time. I plan on getting a Sanden off of a B2200 I found last weekend. While I am there I will get the alternator bracket off of it and see if I can find a GM 1 wire alt.

I will compare the stock Mazda alt bracket to the GM alt and see if it would be easier to modify it or make one from scratch.

is this the site you got your alt off of?

wel i cant find anything, not even an oopion for mazdas....any help? -bf

Yes, that is the site! My alt. was not vehicle specific! It is actually an alt. they make for the Ford ambulances. Keep in mind, mine is HO for the sound system.

I tell you, just give them a call on their 800 number and they will get you the right alt. for your application!

The bracketry they use to mount these alternators to our stock mount locations could be easily fabbed yourself. These alternators come with a bracektry kit to mount them though...

1-800-962-2616 Give them a call atleast, and see if they cannot help you!
