So are the nikki carbs on our trucks similar to the ones from the 1st gen rx-7's? If so then do they have a secondary vaccum diaphram and spring assembley?

I had a 1st gen rotary pickup and it had a Hitachi carb not a Nikki.BJ

my 85 gsl ha a munikki ( I think thats what it is) and was also refered to as a "nikki" carb just wondering if they are similar. On my rx i took out the spring that is in the secondary diaphram and shortened it so the diaphram would open sooner.

No i guess it was just called a nikki. It was a four barrell factory carb with more emissions crap than our trucks.

Has anyone evere tried to cut down there secondary diaphram spring to get there secondary to open quicker?
