Well I am starting to clean up the engine bay now that I have my trailor fenders in, and need to know what I can get rid of?

I'm doing a 350 swap next winter so I won't be buying a Weber anytime soon!

I just want to get some junk outa there and make it cleaner...

Thanks!

R u still running the factory Nikki or do u not have an engine at all in the bay and r just wondering what u can lose?If u r running a stock engine and carb u need everything in there. If u start jerking pollution crap off and undoing wiring harnesses,u run the risk of the carb defaulting to "limp home" mode where it just barely runs.If u got an empty bay prepping for the swap, lose it all except brake booster, fuse box ,wiper washer reservoir and lines, wiper motor, and charcoal canister.BJ

Thats what I needed to know!

I was pretty sure that all of it needed to stay there!

Thanks

You can loose the EGR stuff. Just leave the valve there. I lost the EGR stuff and the vacuum stuff on the front of the air cleaner and I haven't had any problems.

It runs a little rich when it's first started and gives me a rough idle, but as soon as it warms up it's fine. I'm also getting about 28 to 30 mpg right now too. I rebuilt my carb about 1500 miles ago.

i disagree with BJ. he has a good point about not wanting limp home mode. but i don't think it'll happen by pulling your vacuum lines and such off. i run mine with ALL the vacuum lines removed and plugged except the distributor and brake booster. those gotta stay. also i kept all sensors plugged in and it got rid of a lotta stuff.
