wuts up - got a 93 b22 ext cab

2.2 efi ...it smokes when it wants to when i start it and it sets for a while ..like over night and when its cold it misses like hell around 3000 rpms in every gear...other than that runs fine..has good compression...new plugs and wires...checked the dist. cap...ANY IDEAS????

ALSO curious on how much work there is to switch the motor over to carb. and put a fat shiney weber on top of it?? let me know

well it could jus be cold or maybe your plugs or timming or how your choke is a adjusted or your thermostat is stuck open so it doesnt warm up fully

How many miles on truck? Most Maz's with any miles blow a little smoke when first started if they have been sitting up.Using a Maz oil filter will help some . Missing at hi rpm usually means something electrical is breaking down under a load.Did u chang ur dist cap when u tuned it up?How about the rotor button?BJ

When the motor smokes at start up and does not smoke during running it is the valve seals when the motor shuts down a little bit of oil leaks past the valve stems and seals and collects in the cylinder.

If it were rings the truck would smoke all the time.
