my vehicles are falling apart

well it has been a shitty week. my 89 has been on the decline since we moved into this house and it finally died on me today. it overheated and now the head is junk. i ordered a new head and head gasket set tonight, which was very hard to do. i just want to drop a 4.3 in her and call it a day, if only i had the time and money.

yesterday my suv broke, the shifter linkage came off and the wife couldn't take the kid to school, it was an easy fix but it is haveing other issues. i think i am just going to go trade it in.

hopefully (knocking on wood) the 83 will hold up until i get my head in. the idiot that worked on the engine got the timing all out of wack and we had to adjust the carb and dist. to make it run some what right. it is going to get a 331 one of these days but if i keep haveing all these problems the 83 will be put further and further on hold.

i've been having trouble myself... but i guess it's my fault. i got a new radiator some time back... and put in an electric fan with a toggle switch. sometimes in traffic i forget to turn it on and my truck gets HOT! oops. so i found a little oil in my radiator recently so i can only assume it's the head gasket. so i got a new one yesterday, and new piston rings(i might as well change them and hone the clyinders while its apart) and thermostat. just those 3 things cost near $110. i was shocked. i figured it'd be cheaper.

The '83 has a Mazda MA engine. Those are almost bulletproof. It should hold up.

where the hell have you been bro? i haven't talked to you in a while. we got a new house, you guys need to come check it out. do you have a phone yet?

Damn man sorry bout your luck,I'm sure it will get better in time. One day when your truck is done it will all be worth it.

hate to hear about the bad week maztang, the 83 ought to hold up, as for the suv, most of the manufacurers are in a pickle to make sales right now, you could probably get a new vehicle for the wife on the cheap.....as for the 89, good luck with the head & getting it back together.....always remember things could be worse.....& at some point will always get better!

yeah you had told me that a while back. i told sarah about it and she wants to go up, hopefully soon. alot of shit has been going down. might have my truck gona again hit me up

shitty bud too bad you dont live closer. my brother has/had a bunch of chevy trucks 88-98 that hes been cutting up..and now we have 3 4.3's 2 305s just hibernating away in the garage lol.

a 305 with a 350 cam and 350 heads would be nice.
