Hey there!

A friend of mine has recently acquired a 93 B2200 that has the EFI swap done to it. Unfortunately, the truck was a 5 speed, but was changed to an auto when the swap was done. My question is: Is there a 5 speed EFI ECU that can be used from one of the other mazdas? (Like the 5 speed 626 perhaps?) Or do I need to find the stock EFI ECU? These EFI B2200's are hard to come by in my neck of the woods, so I was hoping there was some swapability.

Thanks!

Gregg

I'm actually new to this EFI stuff. I personally have a 91 carbed B2200, and my buddy has this 93 B2200i. This truck was NOT EFI from the factory, and I did not do the swap, so I am unsure if everything on this truck is in the correct location. This truck has the carb engine in it, but "apparently" all the EFI stuff has been swapped over to it. I'll take a look thru my Chilton and Haynes manuals tonight, but I can't guarentee that I'll have an answer for you, hence why I didn't post

The computer that is in this truck is a: F2G8 18 881B
E2T02985T 3114

Not sure what all those #'s mean... But if I can find a 5 spd ECU, then I'll prob do the swap

I found a 5 speed ECU on ebay recently, and it had the same initial #'s... I was thinking of going tothe dealer (I work across the street from it) and seeing if they would be able to help me out, but we'll see how the beast runs once I get the fuel pump into it. I'm just waiting on the pump, then I can finish up the swap & such.

I actually work @ TBComm. Actually, it would be cool if I would be able to check that out. I'm gonna work on getting the truck running first, then I'll look at swapping to the 5 speed
