the crank pulley notch is pointing straight up and down, the notch in the sprocket is exactly in line with the pointer on the block which is at 12 oclock and here is what my cam looks like

and i have a miss somewhere, the engine has all new parts cap, rotor, wires, plugs, has a weber and a header, please help me

it feels like the timing isnt right
and when i put a timing light on it the mark is at 12 oclock with the engine not where it should be on the timing tabs. but this is the only place my engine will run descently.

you might be a tooth or couple off from your cam to crank? was your numero uno piston at TDC when you changed the belt? that'll help you line everything back up.

Yea, lol, I'm not sure but make sure that your #1 piston is on its compression stroke. If I remember right actually, I think you need to set the 1 mark a tooth to the left and make sure the belt is tight. Take out the dist. and realign your rotor so you can double check that it is firing on #1... Other then that, its hard to say!

well i figured out my problem and it has nothing to do with timing. i figured out that i was down a cylinder and i pulled the almost new sparkplug out of cylinder 4 to find that the porcelin had cracked all the way around and had fell down and was covering the electrode causing it not to fire. put four new plugs in it and it fired right up and purred like a kitten.

Good to hear...If could have been worst. Purred like a kitten, smoked like a chimney...Lol, jk, i dunno if your truck has that problem or not
