Alright, here's the deal. I have a 93 B2200, that was originally a carbed 5 speed, that has been converted to EFI auto before I bought it. I was just wondering if anyone would be able to tell me what I would need to swap the truck back to 5 speed carbed? Here's the list of stuff I think I need. Please add to the list if I have missed anything

- ECU
- engine harness
- carb ( Prob gonna go with a weber )
- throttle cable?
- intake manifold & gasket

Thanks!

If you go with the weber you wont need the ECU or the engine harness. You will all so need the 5 speed tranny cross member. And maybe a 5 speed drive shaft. Not sure if there different but just heads up to check.

Just wondering... Will I need to change my distributor over? I think this one is electronic advance instead of vacuum advance. Also... are there any sensors I need to switch?

My buddy got fed up with all the trucks in his yard, and sold me this one. As for that sensor you were looking for, I have yet to find it on this motor. The truck used to be a 5 speed, so the clutch pedal, master & slave cylinder, and the lines are all there. This truck is currently not running, which is why I wanted to get rid of the EFI, and go with the carb, because I'm more familiar with the carb trucks (I also own the 91 B2200 carbed) In my 91 carbed truck, I used to get about 30mpg on the highway, with the stock setup. Oh... and according to the Chilton manual, the carbed truck has more torque, but the EFI has more HP. I have won a sending unit for a 2600i off ebay to put into the EFI truck, because the original owner didn't change the pump & sending unit from the carb setup over to the EFI setup, so the truck currently runs like absolute shit, dying out if you give it any gas. So... I would love to keep this truck set up as EFI, but I'm looking to get it on the road soon, so I wanted to see what I would need for the swap. If the new sending unit & pump work, then I will drive it as an EFI, and I will do some comparisons, but I need to get it working first. As for drag strip, my 91 carbed 5 speed will more likely than not stomp the 93 EFI auto. Those auto tranny sucks something fierce. I stomped my buddy Tim (he has a 91 ext. cab, auto, carb) with my Chevy Sprint (1.0L 3cyl 5speed)

Yes, they are both reg cab short boxes. I will def do a comparison between the 2, as soon as they are both running (my 91 is in pieces in my garage, getting body work, and brakes (everything including the lines) changed, as well as the axle seals... Stupid axle seals lol. I did do a pressure reading on the fuel system, and I have ridiculously low fuel pressure (5 psi, when my haynes manual "says" that it should be somewhere in the 40 psi range) hence the reason why I'm putting in the new fuel pump and sending unit (mazda said that the sending units were different between the sending unit with the pump in the tank for the carb, and the EFI (can anyone confirm this?) I know that the pump is different, but I was unsure if the sending unit was also different. I guess I'll find out when I pull the old one. Hopefully, that is the only problem with the truck. The install looked kinda jig-a-boo, which is why I'm kinda leery as to keeping this truck EFI. I'm hoping to get the sending unit next week, so once I get it, I'll start work and hopefully have the beast rolling

The fuel filter has been changed by the previous owner, but he neglected to change the fuel lines over to high pressure lines (just another thing to change) and he never put any clamps on the fuel hoses :S The sending unit that I bought ended up being $35 shipped (this is a used one in decent shape). All I need to do is drop it in the sending unit in and hopefully that will solve most of the problems. I'll take some pics of the setup when I get out to the truck again, and I'll post them so you can see what I mean.
