Hello all!
Just got my intake manifold all finished up, had it tig welded by an awesome fabricator in saint louis. Finally, my hood will close! AND it's a bad ass intake manifold. It uses the stock oem mazda fe3 intake flange, cut after the injector bungs, and then it's all custom sheet from there, with a 4x4 plenum and a 60mm mustang Throttle body. does it run yet?
another question... what kind of upper control arms are those? what kind of ball joints?

A FE3 is the 3rd type of FE motor based on the FE motor that came in the B2000 and meny others. only draw back is they never made it in the US market. but the kia sportage motor from I think 95 to 02 was a rebadged 2.0 FE3 Dual over head 16 valve motor. best part is it will bolt up to the stock B2000 and B2200 tranny. You can import them or use a kia motor.

The fe3 is just like pont said. It is the beast of the FE engines, only available in genuine form overseas. Mine is a 01 kia sportage, rebuilt, with different manifolds obviously, and the genuine fe3 gold valve cover. It runs on Megasquirt standalone and ford edis ignition. It was running befroe I took off the old intake, just need to hook everything back up and recalibrate the tps and new injectors. I just got it back last night and got home at 11:00pm. I have to work tommorrow, but hopefully sunday I'll fire it up.
The control arms are kustomwerks, with stock mazda ball joints.

sweet intake!! hopefully the one for my 45 dcoe's will turn out as nice.....got the drawing done in cad, just got to get some time to get to a shop & get it all cut out & welded up......

the turbo exhaust manifold is being made by my machinist from stainless. It's a log style manifold. Once I get that- turbo is on! Just a intercooler and piping, new injectors and megasquirt update- and I'm boostin like a champion!
