man i was surprised at how easy it was i went to jrp performance here in mississauga bought a 3" aluminum pipe with a 45 degree bend and a cone filter with one rubber connector ill post pics later it took me 15 mins to do it

10 to remove everything and 5 to put it back in

The sound my truck makes now is insane above 3 grand it growls loud!!! and makes a bit of a bark when i first stomp on it or redline shift i think it added atiny bit of power but the sound alone is worth it

the next thing im going to do is heat wrap the intake as it goes directly over top the exhaust manifold and that'll cause heat soak as aluminum transfers heat easily

this is going to get pics soon and i'll throw some kits together if anyone is interested.

Im thinking about making this a true cold air and putting the filter in behind the bumper

or making a stainless steel box the shield the filter from the heat of the manifold and cutting a hole in the hood with a small scoop.

the sound is amazing that it makes I can't even here my lifters any more when i rev

pics soon..

it works reallly really well i been drivin around in it all day and just revving the hell out of it just got it has a nice deep throaty sound

I'm sure i can put a kit together for a really rasonable price say less than $100 canadian

thats and oooold pic all the parts are from vibrant, and i dont remember what make the filter is, i paid about 70$ for it, i was actually going to shorten mine a couple inches, and i going to build a cool looking aluminum bracket to support the mass airflow sensor, the last one broke and also broke the caseing, so i had to replace it, its too much weight just to have is sitting there hanging on it own, i was bangging around for a bit

i used to have a civic intake before but it was rubbing on the spark plug wires, that was before viberant came out with the universal pipes,

and.... when u buy a filter make sure its a 2 1/2 inch opening it will fit nice and snug, and the silicone rubber fittings have to be 3" to 2 1/5"

dont make it any longer then it is the throtle response will be worse, it'll longer for the air to reachthe throtle body, it'll basicly make the motor work harder, so the shorter the better, if u want wrap it with header wrap try to do it with your manifold too
