....v8 transplant

well, im not much into the whole modifying a smaller size engine to much, and since i have access to basically any kinda of engine i want, im pretty sure i wanna put a chevy 350 in it, or if u wanna get technical, a LS1, which is actually a 346. the question is, who here has done this. i have no idea what im getting into since i have never done anything like this. money really is not a big deal to me since this is a project, im not looking to have it done by next week. so time and patience, is the key. i wanted to get as much info as possible before i indulge into this project.


so i guess what im asking, has anyone here done this? and if so any tips or helpful info? hell, a nice write up would really help out alot. i know along with the engine i will need a trans custom driveshaft and rear end.... but what else?

it's a pretty basic swap i know v8mazda has a tiny bit of knowledge about the subject lol he has it done it all he should be replying to this post any minute now....

yeh thre are a couple guys that have done the chevy swaps on here.i can tell you that the ford 302 was pretty easy, which is what i did. good luck

hey rutter where did you get the new cross memeber for you 302 to sit on

i had made one then i come across the one from ultimate customs in canada. you could make one just like theirs. you'd have to weld the front lip on instead of being bent. then they have a couple of tabs welded on to mount it back to your frame.
