Lil work done.

Well...I got my mazda May 19th. She doesnt run. Guy I got it from blew the head gasket. SOOOOOo before the head gets slapped back on...I got a lil work getting done. Take a look at the pic, other than what you can see, she's getting a port and polish job, oversize valves, and I think a 3 angle valve job as well. Then she's going to be shaved and decked. This pic is before #1 was complete, this is during. Also, the head will be cleaned and polished up as well.








How ya think that'll work with a 2.0 rocker/lifter setup, a larger cam, the weber (which is being cleaned up and redone), and the pacesetter?

Unless u know someone with a flow bench,u would be wasting ur time and money on a 3 angle valve job.It would make more sense to use that money and have the head checked for cracks,trued,and then redo ur valve train.If ur going to put a solid lifter 2000 head on a 2200 block,be sure the oil galleys have been cleaned and deburred and ur rocker assembly is cleaned and polished as well.BJ

No worries. Done by reputable shops and a close friend. This, in total, isnt costing me very much.


Not using the 2000 head, just the rockers/lifters.
