.20-.40 is about all u can go before u start having headgasket problems, overheating etc.Mine is stock bore and stroke,.272 cam ,weber, aluminum crank pulley, stiffer valve springs ,aluminum keepers, ported head and manifolds, electric fan and itis putting out about 110-115 hp on high test.U are not going to win many drag races no matter what u do to a 2200 so do whatever is comfortable for u and not ruin the streetability of the truck.I use my truck frequently and it is very streetable.bj

i have absolutely no probs with mine being .40 over and i drive my truck alot every single day.

Why not just put a v8 in your ride probably cheaper in the end and you get way more bang for your buck.

damn i knew you were gonna chime in and say that. i seriously thought about it but i wanted my truck to be very streatable. and once i start tinkering with the v8s streetable goes out the window because i just cant help myself. already done this once to an s-10

If everything else is stock,u shouldnt have much of a problem going .40 over.Just be sure ur cooling system is in good shape.BJ
