why wont a 38 dges fit onto a 1992-1993.

dropped90(justin)   +1y
it should fit its the same engines. but if you arent putting any other performance mods with it then a 38 will probablly be a little much i have the 32/36 on mine and love it. if i had to do it again i would have most likely went with the 34
mazba2200   +1y
well i have a new head that is polished and a 3 angle valve job and im going to put a header on it. you think it will be overkill?
hocbj23   +1y
Yes unless u get a cam.Polished heads,3 or 6 or9 angle valve jobs just help flow.As posted above a 34/34 or 32/36 would be a better choice. The 38 aint called the outlaw for nothing. It is for full out motors and it doesnt sound like you have one.BJ

YEAH, YOU WOULD NEED A cam and a header to run the 38..

I'm running a 38 on my remaned Mitsubishi 2.6L. Thats it....nothing else fancy so far and it runs great, good on gas on the highway and tons of power in 4 LOW to get me out of the swamps.

What would happen if you put a 38 on a 2.2L engine? Just waste gas?

F N LO,

check out this site, they are good guys to deal with, about the cheapest around for webers, and they have a good service dept. too...

there is all kinds of info on this site as well, carb diagrams etc......

it is best to do the swap at the same time you install a header, so you don't have to cap the ports on the factory exhaust manifold....

basically you remove the old carb, (mark all of the vaccum lines, and pull off the oem carb, this is the time that you would remove the egr pipes & install the header) clean the intake manifold, put an adapter plate on intake, install the new carb, & enjoy!
