! ! need 302 help ! !

Alright, heres the deal. I found what I think is a good deal on a 302HO motor, auto. transmission, and computer for $600 for everything. Two issues I have, (1) It's fuel injected, mines carbed. (2) I don't want a(n) auto transmission, and I don't know what all is involved in the swap. I'm needing to know what all is needed to be done, or any kits that will make this any easier.

My main question is, what kind of mods are required to fit the motor, such as firewall, fender well, etc. Also any links to the motor swap kits would help alot. I really was'nt wanting to go this route, but like I said its a good .deal

try the search function. this is covered at least once a week.

Try and find a ultimate customs kit.. they are pretty much extinct but doesnt hurt to try... also look back at mini truckin april 2004, they did the swap (using a uc kit..) to my knowledge.. you can use

some mustang motor mounts, (swap sides, drill new holes)

an adapter that you may be able to make for the transmission

and a new custom made drive shaft if your keeping your stock rear end....

Like I said, I'm still not sure if I really want to do the whole v8 swap. With gas averaging around 2.70 a gallon and being broke as hell all the time, I may just stick with the lil 4 banger thats in it and just rebuild it. I did however, like the fact of being able to do dress up on the engine where there isn't alot for the B's un less you have money for plating. Once again as previously stated, I'm always broke as hell! lol but aren't all minitruckers???

I would say if its a daily you rely on to get to work etc. wit, leave it,
If its a second set o wheels take the motor and trans I wish I could find a driveline around here for that kinda cash, I would buy it and re sell it for a profit at least, but thats me, always lookin to make a buck.

I'm not broke anymore, but that took 10 years to fix.
