it was the spring. get in the floor board, hold the clutch to the floor with one hand and look for a black spring and spray the hell out of it with the trusty ol white grease! im good as new! simple fix for such an irritating noise. -bf

Now I remember - for my clutch linkage squeak, I used stick lubricant. It looks like a solid antiperspirant container, a round tube, the lubricant pushes up. My local Ace Hardware has it, two different brands. Lots of auto parts stores clerks have never heard of it, but that's not saying much.

hahaha my pedal squeaks too. its really annoying, especially since my sterio isn't installed all the way so there's nothing to block the sound. it randomly stopped last night but i have a feeling its gonna start again soon lol

Count yourselves lucky. When I bought my truck, the clutch petal stuck to the floor, and I had to pry it back up. Finally after doing that like 40 times, it swung free. Then I sprayed the shit out of the whole assembly with liquid wrench. It seems to be working.

Mine started squeaking again last week. Here's what I did to fix it. I placed newspapers on the floormat, then used aerosol oil (I used 3-in-1, not a WD-40 type, but actual oil), and sprayed the linkages. Later I removed the newspapers. I also but wheel bearing grease on the return spring.
