so far I can't find mine either on my 87 b2200 auto
I've been told that auto uses an electric in tank fuel pump and it's under the truck. the manual trans trucks use a mechanical pump and the filter is in the engine bay somewhere on the pass side near the firewall/fenderwell.
getting the tip in this thread about the crossmember is a good hint. I'll check there
todd and slammedyota .. are both of your trucks manual or auto trans?
i got under my 87 auto last night and followed the lines from the top of the tank all the way to the back of the carb. there is no filter anywhere. all the lines are stock and don't look like they've ever been changed or modified.
looks like I'll have to tap into one and install one in the engine bay where you guys have yours.
if your fuel pump is on the block...follow the line that goes down to pass side firewall if the line goes str8 to the hard line then some one has changed it and put new fuel line in and decided not to use a filter...simply cut the line and clamp in a filter
I looked all over my truck and couldnt find one, then I found that they had just put a connection in the line and closed it up, so I took it out and put a filter in.
