hey guys ,i just got this mazda running, sorta . i have oil coming out of the exhuast and or the freeze plugs,my question is can i unbolt he tube that bolts to the manfold and plug the four holes, all the emmisions are either plugged or have bolts in the hoses,im trying to save for a weber downdraft, also i have oil coming out of the botom of the manifold before it ties into the cat ,am i making sense?if not here are some pics ,i need a remedy for this.im sure ill have more problms. thanx in advance

If u indeed have oil in the exhaust u have a plugged #1 CAT for sure.I also see oil on the valve cover- ru sure u just dont have a bunch of leaky gaskets? Much cheaper to replace gaskets than rebuild a motor.BJ

yeah the vavle cover gasket is good just replaced t , so if i buy a header and do away with the cats i should be fine? we dont have emmissions, here so i dont have to worry about that .

yes you should be fine but if the first one is clogged i would look in to checking out the second one as well.

i had oil in my exhaust and it was caused by bad rings.

well when its running there is a ton of white smoke, but most of it is burning off of the manifold , the truck runs really strong , no knocking no pinging really good throttle response no lifters clicking , im hoping i can can just replace the exhaust and carb and drag the piss outa italso this is what im ordering as soon as i get some cash.

was the truck parked a long time and you had to break the engine loose?
