Well today i removed my AC system out of my truck, I have a 1990 b2200 with carb engine. After removing the AC system i started the truck and now it won't idle down after it warms up it stays reving at 2000 rpms, and i was wondering if it would have anything to do with removing AC system.

Any ideas would be greatly appericted

humm automatic choke maybe? how long did it stay running before you shut it off. my choke stays on for a while before it finally quits the 2 grand shit and goes down to the nrmal 1000ish. thats my guess. -bf

What do you exactly mean "removed my AC system out of my truck"? did you remove just the compressor? If so, that wouldn't affect anything as its only electrical connection is its hot wire. Did you also remove the drier, and the condenser? Did you do anything with the undedash evaporator? More info needed.

I removed everything that was under the hood, but today when I started my truck the idle drop after a few Minutes to normal engine range around 800 rpms. so i'm thinking its my throttle linkage needs to been adjusted and a new spring.

if you have any other ideas of what the problem is that be know.

I let the truck warm up til the engine was at running temp and the choke seems like opening all the way when its suppose to, but i think its the throttle linkage.

thanks for the suggestions thow, there always appericted

There is a kick up solenoid on the carb that raises the idle when the a/c comes on.If u removed the a/c system one possibility is the solenoid may be affected and is causing the carb to run in kick up mode even if the air is gone.Just a thought.BJ
