im thinking about putting in an exhaust into my 86 b2000. its a carb., 5spd 2.0L. what kind of exhaust/ piping size should i put in, to get the best sound and performance wise? feedback anyone?

I tell you what, don't put a cherry bomb on it. They sound like chit.

Supertrapp sounds pretty decent on a Mazda.

persnally i have a dynomax turbo II with the cat comin off of the manifold (which will bve removed shortly) but alot of people like the good ol flowmaster 40 series/super 40s but iv never heard one
oh and from the bend at the end of the manifold back iv got 2 1/4" pipe run out of the stock location, which will also be moved around a but after i get a body lift. -bf

Ive got the flowmaster 40 series on mine and it sound pretty good. Also got a header and 2 inch pipe

cherrybombs sound alright. this was before i took my cat out.

Stock header and Cat, Emissions delete, Weber Carb, 2.5 " pipe, Magnaflow high flow Cat, Cherrybomb.

Used to shoot flames w/ the MSD 2 step

flowy sounds good on mazdas, but are loud, still a fan of magnaflow

this is an old post but i put a super 10 fm on it and i couldnt even tell i took the stock muffler off cat delete test pipe and you can hear it but not real loud at all,sux
