need help???

ok i replaced the head on my 88 and now i cant get the thing to start.all of the timing is rightbut it dosent want to fire it will turn over all day but wont fire...the coil is showing hot on botht he ngative and positive side..new coil and diffenrent distributor..i am at a loss andyone have any suggestions??????

try starting fluid if it starts then your accel pump is bad from sitting

Sparkplug wires on in the right order?

also if it starts with starting fluid remove your air cleaner assembly and see if there is any gas in the float bowl sight glass


i just went through this with my new truck

it's got a webber carb on it and the wires are in the correct order

also make sure if you took the fuel pump out that you put it back in right!I did this myself and had to redo it!lol

i might have just had same problem as you. are you sure the cam and crank timing is right cause i was for sure mine was and it wouldnt stard then my dad re did it and it ran
