warped head

hey i have an 87 b 2000 and the head is cracked and warped i was just wandering if anyone might have a good one layn around some where man it sucks not bieng able to drag especially when i just got new sheet metal and some drag blocks

I live in Chattanooga and I have a head.It aint laying around it has been tanked,inspected and redone .Has cam, lifters and valves.Nice head.If interested let me know and I am sure we can work something out.BJ

I have a head as well I'm in Lexington (Henderson, TN) I had it checked when I redone the head gasket and it was good. I then scraped the truck (motor was fine) give me a holler if you and BJ can work something out.

what kind of head is it ? 2.0 or 2.2 i was told they were different but im not an expert on that . its just that i had a 2.2 head on it and it kept blowin gaskets then i put a 2.0 head on it and it was fine , i just forgot to put water in it when i got it linked and it over heated severely

the heads are the same its the lifters that are different. you cant run the 2.2 lifters on a 2.0 block. Mine is off a 86 B2000 and it will need the 2.0 lifters cause I put them on my 92.

Mine will work on ur truck and it has cam lifters and valves already installed.Plug and play.BJ

they are solid lift cam to rocker ley dont have lifters the old ones do thopre 86

i found a 2.2 and tranny with weber 30 header and cam wit less that 300 miles for 500 bucks that should be a good deal
