ok, i need a charcoal canister... does anyone know where i can get one. one of the little plastic nipples broke on mine and i guess i need it to pass emissions, so i need one really bad. ive been lookin everywhere, and all the parts stores tell me its a dealership part. im pretty sure the dealership is gonna rape me with the price of the thing. if anyone might have one, or know where i can get one, or a different way of gettin my truck through emissions maybe without it, please help. this is my only vehicle and im kinda stuck right now drivin without my sticker. thanks for any help.

i would say put a small screw in it and cap off the vacuum line and hide it. i dont see it causing any harm as long as its just one of them.

goodyear huh? i used to live in avondale, right off dysart, good luck with the canister, you cant plug it off, cuz it needs to pass visual inspection.

yeah, i found that out the hard way, the guy looked at me like i was an idiot tryin to pull a fast one! i came from new mexico and we dont need emissions so i didnt think much of it.. guess i was wrong. haha. i dunno much about these trucks, i didnt know till recently that i have a weber carb on it... the guy i got it from didnt know what the hell he was doing so i got it cheap, and now i know why. theres alot of fixin to do.. yeah i live off estrella pkwy and yuma rd, like it out here minus the emissions crap!

yeah its pretty nice here. i guess i would enjoy it more if i didnt worry about gettin pulled over without emissions. its not like my truck will let me speed, but you know how the cops are down here man, rutheless bastards.

The guys at my local AZ station (40th St & Greenway) can't check for sh*t !!! Last time my '94 Suburban with dual exhaust had the sensor fall out of one side when he got in and shut the door (I decided to keep my mouth shut, unless it failed, of course). After testing, he saw it was out, didn't give a crap. Anyway, I would thread in a screw or a stud, then place the vacuum hose over that, they'll never see that. Plug up that vacuum hose with silicone glue if you need to. On mine, I painted the one hose that they clamp white because they had trouble finding it each time.
