Hey i am looking to re-do my exhaust, and everyone has their own opinion of how their truck should sound. well i want mine quiet. like factory quiet. maybe a little low rumble... but QUIET comes first!!! during all RPM ranges.
anyone know of a muffler(or some other setup) that can do this? keep in mind i'm bagged and bodydropped, and space is extremely minimal. i've got 4" between my floor and the ground under the cab.
thanks!

I've heard the flowmaster hushpower mufflers are pretty quiet, and they are slim so clearance shouldn't be an issue with one......oh, nice pic ^^

Right - avoid breakdowns - take along your mechanic in your engine compartment...

i know this doesn't seem true but i have a cherry bomb glasspack muffler. its the one with the straight through design. i put it on because i wanted a louder truck but it didn't really do anything. i just have a low rumble and i can barely hear it when i drive with no music. and thats with a hollowed out cat. if you have a normal cat it would be a lot quieter. and the sound is good. it does'nt sound like a shitty civic or something. its a super low rumble and it sounds great. this post is probably really late but i just wanted to let you know. and the glasspack is online like 3-4 inches thick. and the best part is that it costs only $20 at pep boys =)

i have a high flow magnaflow cat, and a stock muffler (kragens for liek 25.00 bucks) and it is super quiet but under heavy throttle has a really nice tone, im shortening mine though by about 6 inches, to make rooms for my airride, and so i assume the deep tone will be more noticeable but not drastically, i too am a big fan of quieter exhaust
